Distinctly English

My Wife’s Bitter? Yes, we’re talking about Peta, Brewmaster Brennan’s wife.

And we don’t mean she’s in any way sour, resentful or angry. This beer is Brennan’s gift to her!

In fact, she’s very, very happy to have such a stunningly attractive brew named after her. And who wouldn’t be? Glad we cleared that up!

First created as a limited release, ‘Bit on the Side’ brew, My Wife’s Bitter proved so popular, it’s now part of our regular line-up.

Inspired by the traditional English ‘session beer’ that’s been supped in pubs across England for generations, it blends genuine English malt, hops and yeast.

One sip and you’ll be picking up darts and shouting ‘three-oh-one’. That’s a game they play in England. With darts. Apparently.

Style

Our coastal version of a classic English Bitter is brewed with a unique blend of English specialty malts that lend a smooth, malty flavour - with a hint of nuttiness and a soft caramel character.

Ingredients

Malted barley, English hops, yeast (filtered) and water

4.8% abv. Food match: My Wife's Bitter sits well with robust dishes like duck, beef and lamb. Nut-based accents will complement the characters of the beer. Dessert is also a fine match.
