Burleigh Brewing Cinema SUMMER Schedule

Party like it’s 1999!

Burleigh Brewing has teamed up with Gold Coast Film Festival to bring six glorious months of 90’s films at the Burleigh Brewing Outdoor Cinema.

On the last Thursday of every month, grab your gang and relive the glory days when Lip smackers, MarioKart, crop tops and trying to keep a Tamagotchi alive were life’s most important things!

Hold on to your bumbag because the films screening include everyone’s favourite sassy girl gang in Clueless, the American teen slasher film, I Know What You Did Last Summer and the high school prom rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You. The daggy and loveable Australian cult classic, The Castle is the pick for Australia Day weekend, while the super cool underground hit Empire Records wraps up the six month season, before the yet-to-be announced Gold Coast Film Festival screening in April.

Each screening is paired with a short film from an emerging Gold Coast filmmaker, so you’ll get to see the latest filmmaking talent along with your nineties classics.

6:00pm – 10:00pm (feature film screening around 7:00pm)

The theme is definitely outdoor cinema, and we’ll plan to do so wherever possible, however it won’t always be starry skies and moonlight, so Burleigh Brewing has an indoor cinema option available for use when needed. Burleigh Brewing has an array of furniture available on a first come first served basis however, please ensure you bring your favourite blanket for the colder weather.

Oh, if you don’t drink beer, that’s OK, we have wine and non-alcoholic beverages on offer. We’ll have popcorn available for purchase.

Burleigh Brewing Cinema is a FREE event so just bring yourself, enjoy the movie, along with a schooner of your favourite brew.
