From November 17th – November 27th, internationally recognised fine artist and muralist, Cam Scale will be completing his newest project, a large scale 500sqm bespoke mural at our Burleigh Taphouse.
As Burleigh Brewing CEO & Co-founder, Peta Fielding remarks “as a 16th birthday present to us, to our team (both current and those who’ve been part of the journey along the way) and to our treasured community, we’re ready to express our heart on our wall! This mural will serve a reminder of our past and inspiration for our future.”
At Burleigh Brewing, we’re passionate about supporting local creatives – and do that in a variety of ways, through our Brewing Local Artists initiative. Measuring in at a cool 50m x 10m, creating a mural of this scale requires a very specific skill set.
Enter Cam Scale… Sydney born, Melbourne cultured and currently NSW Northern Coast based artist whose practice extends from large scale mural-work and graffiti to digital and canvas-based art. From Australia, Canada, Indonesia & beyond, Cam’s completed works are beloved both near and far. His work on the Viterra Silos, a towering 60m x 25m mural stretched across five and a half silos – is an internationally celebrated tourism landmark, drawing crowds to the halfway point of Australia, the rural Kimba region.
With an impressive resume under his belt, Burleigh Brewing came to know Cam several years ago when we were lucky enough to feature the amazing work of his partner, Loretta Lizzio in our Burleigh Taphouse. Now it’s his turn, and all of us here at Burleigh Brewing couldn’t be more stoked about it.
Visit us at the Taphouse this weekend for a beer and check the progress on Cam’s mural, which is set to be complete before December.
