Introducing Jess Green of Gulfers

Burleigh Brewing has always been about balance, character and soul.

From the very beginning there’s been a deeper meaning to what we do. Beyond the creation of something special for others to enjoy, it’s about staying true to ourselves and supporting those around us as much as we can. Our ambassadors embody those values. People who are striving for excellence in their own way, having fun doing it and being a lovely person in the process. Which is why we're proud to properly introduce you to Jess Green. The other half of Gulfers and fellow professional golfer competing on the WPGA. Jess is a formidable force on the golf course, and an all round legend off it. Get to know her below:

How did you get into golf?
I actually got into golf pretty late. My older brother was a bit of a prodigy and was competing internationally from about age six. I used to get dragged along to all his tournaments and honestly couldn’t stand it at first. Eventually, around twelve, I picked it up properly—mainly so I didn’t have to just sit there watching him all the time.

What is the wildest place golf has taken you?
I was selected for the New Zealand junior team to compete against China’s national junior team in Hangzhou. That was an unreal experience and definitely one of the most memorable trips I’ve had through golf.

How do you maintain balance in your life?
I’ve always had to work alongside golf to help fund it, so I learned pretty quickly to focus on quality over quantity with practice. That mindset’s stuck with me and it’s what allows me to juggle golf with other things now, like social media.

Where is your favourite spot for a beer?
Burleigh Brewing Taphouse...easy choice.

When you’re not golfing, where would we usually find you?
Probably relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sun with a Bighead in hand.

What’s your pick from the Burleigh lineup?
I’ll always go for a no-carb option—it feels like you’re getting away with something. Hard to go past Bighead.
